Position Summary
Delgado Wrought Iron is seeking a skilled and dependable Installation Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role requires little prior experience, but candidates must have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn specialized trades like welding and painting, and familiarity with basic tool usage. The assistant supports field installations and shop operations as part of a professional team.
Key Responsibilities
Field Installation
- Support the transport and installation of a variety of wrought iron products, including railings, fences, gates, doors, porch enclosures, stairs, and patio covers.
- Ensure all installations are secure, level, and meet company quality standards.
- Represent Delgado Wrought Iron professionally while interacting with clients at job sites.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the field.
Shop Operations & Fabrication
- Assist with shop preparation tasks.
- Support the team with various shop activities as directed.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
Logistics & Safety
- Safely operate company vehicles and hook up/drive trailers to transport materials.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications & Skills
Technical Skills & Experience
- Bilingual Proficiency: Must be proficient in both English and Spanish.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and experience driving/maneuvering a hook-up trailer.
- Tools: Proven experience operating basic hand and power tools.
- Welding & Painting: No prior experience required, but must be eager and willing to learn these trades on the job.
Physical Requirements
- Strength: Ability to lift, carry, and position heavy iron objects (50+ lbs).
- Agility: Must be physically agile, capable of bending, reaching, and working in various outdoor conditions and heights.
- Stamina: Ability to stand and perform manual labor for extended periods.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $15.00–$18.00/hr

- Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time employees are eligible for 10 days (80 hours) of PTO annually.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
