Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, craft beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and deliver prompt, friendly service.
- Engage with guests to recommend beverages, menu items, and specials to enhance their dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties efficiently during shifts, including processing payments and providing accurate change.
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute ideas for seasonal menus or specials to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
- Assist with bar management tasks such as inventory control, stock replenishment, and maintaining compliance with alcohol service regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality roles, preferably with fine dining or bar environments.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with beverage recipe development is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Demonstrated proficiency in beverage preparation including cocktails, craft beer pouring, wine knowledge, and brewing techniques.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for inventory management, and accurate order processing.
- Experience with catering or banquet service is advantageous but not required.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude; team-oriented mindset essential for success in a fast-paced environment.
