Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced CDL A Trailer Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Your expertise in handling different trailer types—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and roll-off trucks—will be essential to maintaining our high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission vehicles, in compliance with all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Transport freight across assigned routes while ensuring on-time deliveries.
- Load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment, including forklifts and roll-off systems when required.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while complying with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery paperwork, and inspection records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding schedules, delays, or delivery updates.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly and transported safely at all times.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Must possess a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card / Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Must be willing to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Experience operating tractor-trailers; manual transmission experience preferred.
- Experience with refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or roll-off trailers is a plus.
- Ability to safely load and unload freight using forklifts or related equipment when necessary.
- Strong understanding of commercial driving safety procedures and DOT regulations.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends, night shifts, and extended hours when necessary.
- Willingness to complete out-of-state deliveries while maintaining a home-daily schedule.
- Ability to work long hours and perform physical tasks, including inspections and cargo handling.
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
