Jabez Management Group is an independent operator of a local Avis Budget rental car location. We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and customer-focused individual to join our team at our Batavia, Ohio (Eastgate) location.

The Opportunity:
This isn't a desk-only position.
As a Customer Service & Rental Sales Agent, you'll interact directly with customers, assist with rental transactions, learn our rental products and services, help maintain and prepare our vehicle fleet, and support the daily operation of the branch.
We're looking for someone who is friendly, sales-minded, dependable, comfortable learning technology, and willing to stay active throughout the workday.
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet and proactively engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers with reservations, rentals, vehicle returns, and questions.
- Learn available rental products, services, protection options, policies, and procedures.
- Listen to customer needs and identify appropriate products and services.
- Explain rental terms, pricing, options, and policies clearly.
- Process rental agreements, payments, vehicle check-ins, and check-outs accurately.
- Answer telephone calls and assist with reservations and customer inquiries.
- Proactively address customer concerns with empathy, respect, professionalism, and good judgment while consistently administering company policies.
- Help create a positive customer experience that encourages customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Vehicle & Fleet Operations
- Clean and prepare rental vehicles as needed.
- Inspect vehicles during check-out and return.
- Walk the lot regularly to account for vehicle arrivals, departures, and availability.
- Move, park, and reposition vehicles safely.
- Help ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and rental-ready.
- Assist with transporting vehicles between locations when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional office and vehicle lot.
Branch Operations
- Complete required store and operational reports accurately and timely.
- Learn and use company computer systems and rental software.
- Follow opening, closing, vehicle-control, and other branch procedures.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
- Help during busy rental periods.
- Take initiative and stay productive throughout the shift.
- Support other branch responsibilities as needed.

Previous rental-car experience is not required. We provide on-the-job training for candidates who bring the right attitude, dependability, customer focus, and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
This is an active position that requires working both inside the branch and outside on the vehicle lot.
Team members must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
- Standing for extended periods.
- Walking throughout the office and vehicle lot.
- Working indoors and outdoors as required.
- Bending, reaching, and squatting.
- Lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
- Entering and exiting different types and sizes of vehicles.
- Cleaning and preparing vehicles.
- Safely driving and repositioning rental vehicles.
Employment Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Required automobile insurance.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to safely operate rental vehicles as required.
- Successful completion of a background check consistent with applicable law and company policy.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Batavia (Eastgate) Branch Hours:
Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM-5:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM-1:00 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
We're hiring part-time team members who can work a variety of shifts within these operating hours. Availability for opening, closing, weekday, and weekend shifts is highly valued.
Specific weekly hours will be discussed during the interview process based on branch needs and applicant availability.
