American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of experience and required Siemens equipment and Epic charting proficiency.
-
Work in the X-Ray department of an acute care medical center
-
Perform radiographic imaging across settings including Emergency Department, ICU, NICU, and PICU
-
Duties include abdomen, chest, spine, pelvis, upper and lower extremity, and skull imaging
-
May perform fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, ERCP, myelography, and upper GI series
-
Perform mobile/surgical procedures including C-Arm, portable abdomen, and portable chest
-
Uses Siemens and GE imaging equipment along with PACS and McKesson systems
-
Documents in Epic EMR

Night shift schedule, 4x10 hours, Monday-Thursday from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

No call requirements

Candidates may float within scope as needed

Minimum of 1 year of experience required

ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
-
VA state license required if applicable, or compact state license accepted

Epic charting experience required

Siemens equipment experience required

Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred

BSN preferred

2 professional references required at time of consideration

Must comply with facility natural nail policy

Facility is a drug and tobacco free workplace

Smoking is not permitted on campus

ER and Psych candidates must complete fingerprinting per Virginia state code, with results typically taking 15-20 business days; candidates cannot start with pending results

Modules assigned during orientation via facility Learning Exchange, to be completed by the Friday of orientation week

Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions

Former VCU Health employees and travelers must wait at least six months before returning as a traveler
-
Time off requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and are subject to unit manager approval; no time off granted during the first week of the assignment
