Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and daily meal preparation to ensure timely service
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, and cooking appliances
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with attention to detail and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent food service experience
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation, and report shortages or equipment issues promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering, or dietary departments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and slicing techniques
- Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food handling practices
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food service operations, and kitchen workflows
- Experience working in dietary aide roles or dietary departments is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
