Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fiber Blow Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining fiber blowing equipment used in the installation of fiber optic cables. Your expertise will ensure the efficient and safe deployment of fiber infrastructure, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality connectivity solutions. Responsibilities
- Operate fiber blowing machines and related industrial equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Conduct quality inspections of fiber optic cables and blown fiber installations, utilizing precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with blowers, CNC machinery, press brake machines, and other manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, including materials handling and fabrication tasks related to fiber installation components.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC lathes, and injection molding equipment.
- Assist with assembly processes involving plastics extrusion, blow molding, and plastics injection molding techniques.
- Use hand tools and measurement instruments for precise fabrication, measurement, and quality control of components.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating industrial manufacturing equipment such as CNC lathes, CNC machines, press brake machines, or plastics blow molding machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and perform basic repairs.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems.
- Experience with quality inspection techniques using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of plastics extrusion, injection molding, blow molding processes, and materials handling procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings, use hand tools effectively, and perform basic math calculations for measurements and quality assessments.
- Warehouse experience combined with a strong understanding of safety protocols in an industrial setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
