PRN Event EMT-Basic – Houston/Conroe Area
Bluebonnet Medical Services is hiring Texas-certified EMT-Basics for an upcoming obstacle-course race in Conroe, Texas, with opportunities for additional event medical work throughout the Greater Houston area.

Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
Location: Conroe, Texas
Scheduled coverage: 6:30 AM–2:00 PM
Pay: $20 per hour
The EMT will work as part of an on-site medical team providing first aid, patient assessment, basic life support, and emergency-response coordination for event participants, staff, and guests.
This is a PRN event-medical position. Strong performers may be offered future assignments involving races, festivals, corporate events, sporting events, and other productions throughout the Houston area.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional medical standby coverage
- Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses within authorized scope and protocols
- Respond to medical incidents throughout the event site
- Assist with heat-related illness, dehydration, sprains, wounds, and other event-related conditions
- Provide basic life support when necessary
- Assist advanced providers with patient care
- Activate 911 and coordinate with responding EMS when directed
- Complete accurate electronic patient-care documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized first-aid station
- Assist with medical-station setup, equipment organization, and breakdown
- Maintain a professional and approachable presence with clients and attendees
Requirements
- Current Texas EMT certification
- Current BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move medical equipment
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills
- Ability to work calmly as part of a medical team
- Reliable access to a smartphone for scheduling and event communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Event medical, EMS, occupational health, fire service, or 911 experience
- Experience treating heat illness, dehydration, minor trauma, and orthopedic injuries
- Availability for future assignments throughout Greater Houston
