What You’ll Do:
- Provide specialized care for cardiac and medical stepdown patients, including post-surgical cardiac patients, respiratory failure, CVA, sepsis, and more
- Titrate cardiac, insulin, and vasopressor drips (Esmolol, Cardene, Amiodarone, etc.)
- Manage central lines, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and other complex medical devices
- Monitor patient vital signs and perform ongoing assessments
- Ensure safety and comfort of patients while adhering to hospital protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team members including CNAs, RTs, and hospitalists
What You Need:
- Valid Louisiana RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or stepdown experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass EKG competency exam
- Strong cardiac and general medical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
