Kippen Excavation, a division of Kippen Concrete Cutting, is hiring three dependable full-time Laborers within the next two weeks. This position assists excavator operators and the excavation crew on active lot-clearing, grading, and site-preparation projects.
Pay: $22–$26 per hour, depending on experience.
Work Location and Travel
Work takes place across the Wasatch Front. Employees report to the Kippen Excavation shop in Roy and travel in company vehicles to varying project sites. Meeting directly at jobsites is rare. The Roy address is the reporting location, not a fixed jobsite.
Schedules
- One Laborer: Sunday through Thursday night work, approximately 8:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.
- Two Laborers: Typical Monday–Friday schedule, approximately 40–50 hours per week, usually starting at 6:00 a.m.
Responsibilities
- Assist excavator operators and other excavation crew members.
- Support lot clearing, grading, earthwork, and general site preparation.
- Handle and move materials, tools, and supplies.
- Help maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
- Perform jobsite cleanup.
- Lift, carry, shovel, and complete other physically demanding outdoor work.
- Work safely in changing weather and on uneven terrain.
- Follow crew direction and contribute to a dependable, safety-first team.
Required Qualifications
- Prior grading or earthwork experience.
- Ability to lift, carry, shovel, and perform physically demanding outdoor work.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Safety-first attitude and ability to work effectively with a crew.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility installation or underground utility experience.
- Experience operating or working around heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, or compactors.
- Experience helping with grade stakes, trenches, or site layout.
- Familiarity with construction safety practices.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
