Looking for a low stress, flexible position? We are looking for a pizza cook to work PT at our Pizza at the Cove location on Dollywood Lane. The flow is steady, but never overwhelming, the atmosphere is calm, and the hours are perfect for anyone! Not too early; not too late!
The Pizza cook and cashier is responsible for maintaining and upholding standard operating procedures put forward by the Store Manager and Experience Variety Group. Success in this position requires time management, effective communication, proper food handling knowledge and basic kitchen skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Actively working a station or stations in the kitchen based upon level of business.
- Working scheduled shifts for proper staff coverage. Finding coverage for any shifts that are missed or called out of.
- Cross train with all areas of the kitchen to have the ability to cover all stations.
- Maintaining equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen to company standards.
- Alerting the store manager when inventory levels drop and need to be reordered.
- Maintaining a positive and customer service orientated environment consistent with Experience Variety Group company culture.
- Awareness of promotional items, events, or any company events.
- Work POS position to ring up and take payment for customer orders
- Answer phones in a polite and courteous manner
- Learn menu items and keep up to date on all sales and promotions
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Comfortable counting and handling cash
- Have ABC License and ServSafe or able to get
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must be able to communicate with other team members and guests
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Knowledge and understanding of basic math
REASONING ABILITY
- Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for a long period of time
