Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm, ensuring accuracy and friendliness.
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining high quality.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry, payment processing, and cash handling.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, including food prep stations, utensils, and surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently, providing correct change and processing various payment methods.
- Assist with food delivery to customers or table service when required, supporting overall restaurant operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service environments within restaurants or cafés.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for seamless order processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse patrons.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing.
