Piping Project Manager
Position Summary
The Project Manager will own overall project execution for a heavy industrial construction scope, managing budget, schedule, subcontractors, procurement, and client relationships from mobilization through project closeout. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for project performance and works closely with field superintendents to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own overall project schedule, budget, and scope management from award through closeout
- Serve as primary client-facing contact for project status, change management, and commercial issues
- Direct project controls: forecasting, cost tracking, progress reporting, and change order management
- Coordinate procurement and materials management to support field construction schedules
- Partner with the Piping Superintendent and other field leads to align execution plans with project commitments
- Manage subcontractor relationships, including scope compliance, invoicing, and performance
- Lead project safety, quality, and risk management planning at the management level
- Facilitate project meetings (owner, internal, subcontractor) and maintain project documentation
- Support proposal/estimate transition into execution, and identify opportunities for change orders or scope growth
- Ensure project closeout activities (punch list, turnover documentation, final billing) are completed on schedule
Qualifications
- 8+ years of project management experience in heavy industrial construction (mechanical, piping)
- Demonstrated track record managing projects of significant scope/value in industrial settings
- Budgeting, forecasting, change order management, contract administration
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
- PMP certification a plus, not required
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
