Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Landscape and Irrigation Purchaser to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality landscape and irrigation materials to support our projects and operations. Your expertise in supply chain management, vendor relationships, and procurement systems will ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining cost efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the beautification and sustainability of outdoor spaces through strategic purchasing practices. Experience in Landscape and/or Irrigation purchasing is preferred.
Duties
· Purchases all irrigation and landscape materials for all projects, including landscape tagging
· Maintains a list of all vendors and contacts
· Receives and checks all materials delivered at the office and keeps track of back orders
· Schedules delivery of plant material
· Creates purchase orders in QuickBooks
· Obtains the proper authorization for purchases
· Provides copies of purchase orders to the correct personnel
· Obtain and maintain relationships with vendors
· Takes product and specification related calls from managers and field foremen
· Research new products and equipment and collects competitive bids
· Keep estimating department informed of any price increases and decreases
· Assist the estimating department with material pricing and/or availability
· Work with customers when negotiating material alternates due to availability, code requirements, and size specifications
· Negotiates payment terms and pricing
Pay: $22.00 - $30.76 per hour
