Duties
- Assist with food preparation by handling ingredients, assembling dishes, and supporting chefs in kitchen tasks
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, equipment, and dining areas according to sanitation standards
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, resetting dining spaces, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and uphold health regulations
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy supplies, organizing storage areas, and moving kitchen equipment safely
- Operate basic kitchen equipment including dishwashers, mixers, and other small appliances with proper safety protocols
- Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a secure working environment for all team members
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of food safety management and hygiene standards in hospitality settings
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues and guests
- Basic knife skills and experience with dishwashing are advantageous but can be trained on the job
