Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and a strong understanding of inventory control processes.
Duties
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts through effective inventory control practices.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes, to facilitate the movement of goods.
- Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as required for loading and unloading shipments.
- Execute order picking and packing processes to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize warehouse management systems
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all incoming and outgoing products are properly documented.
- Assist in packaging products for shipment while adhering to quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote an efficient workflow.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, and order pickers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle materials safely.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience with stocking, order fulfillment, picking & packing processes is essential.
- Understanding of warehouse distribution methods and best practices.
