The Embossing Operator is responsible for operating card personalization systems within a high-volume direct mail environment. This role ensures high-quality embossed finishes on printed pieces, while meeting client specifications in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, production environment.
Shift: 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM), Monday through Friday
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate Entrust embossing and personalization equipment to produce high quality cards for mailing campaigns.
- Load and manage card stocks, place completed cards into sleeves/cases while keeping proper order and orientation.
- Change foil (as needed), read work orders, load jobs and complete paperwork.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client specifications.
- Make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Maintain a neat and clean working environment, ensuring the area is ready for the next shift.
- Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are key
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specifications.
- Basic computer and math skills required.
- Effectively work with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Dependable and able to work designated hours is a Must
- Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills required
Education and Experience:
- High school education or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years if experience embossing or similar finishing equipment in a print or direct mail environment preferred.
