Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS and Clover POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales, utilizing OpenTable for reservations management when applicable.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols.
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and managing guest requests promptly to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and presentation, supporting overall restaurant flow.
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns swiftly, and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast POS, Clover POS, and Tock is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and cashiering tasks accurately.
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus, along with familiarity with food preparation techniques.
