Senior Accountant - Interim Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team for a 6-month interim assignment. This role will support accounting operations within a fast-paced distribution environment and play a key role in financial reporting, inventory accounting, month-end close, and ERP-related accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger and inventory accounting experience, a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, and the ability to work independently while partnering with operations and finance teams. Experience with Epicor Eclipse (Solar) is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
· Support monthly and year-end financial close processes.
· Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts, including cycle count adjustments and inventory reserves.
· Assist with revenue recognition activities.
· Prepare financial reports and perform variance analysis.
· Utilize Epicor Eclipse (Solar) ERP for accounting and reporting functions.
· Perform bank reconciliations and support cash management activities.
· Assist with sales tax reconciliations and annual 1099 reporting.
· Support external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
· Partner with operations, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure financial accuracy.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
· 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a distribution, wholesale, or inventory-intensive environment.
· Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
· Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
· Epicor Eclipse (Solar) ERP experience strongly preferred.
· Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
· Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
