TITLE: INVESTIGATING HISTORY AND DEMOCRATIC KNOWLEDGE PROJECT CURRICULUM WORK - SUMMER
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is for summer work hours for the grades 6-8 social studies teachers to unpack/interpret the IH and DKP curriculum and plan the first unit of instruction following the UbD process and framework. All work must be submitted by Friday, August 14, 2026.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Unpack and interpret the Investigating History (gr. 6 & 7) and Democratic Knowledge Project (gr. 8) curriculum.

Plan and document the first unit of instruction (and second unit, if time) using the district UbD template and the district Unit of Instruction Vetting Tool/Criteria for Success.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a grade 6-8 social studies teacher
SALARY: $33 per hour not to exceed 25 hours
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning
