Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing team. As an independent contractor, you’ll work one-on-one with patients in their homes, helping them restore functional independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans.
- Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to promote safety, independence, and quality of life.
- Train patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and use of assistive devices.
- Accurately document all visits and progress using EMR systems (e.g., Pariox).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Travel locally to patient homes within assigned service areas.
Qualifications
- Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license (required)
- Home health experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- Compassionate and professional approach to patient care
