Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team working nights. The ideal candidate will have at least one (1) year of on the job experience operating tractor trailer. As a Truck Driver with Marathon Mail Service, you will be responsible for transporting USPS mail safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws, company policies, and USPS regulations.
Schedule: 6 nights per week starting on Sunday nights at 11:30pm
Pay per hour: $29.89 plus quarterly safety/performance bonus and hiring bonus
Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer for transporting USPS mail between postal facilities.
- Load and unload.
- Ensure the safe transport of goods by following designated routes and schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Operate Samsara software.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
- Ability to work nights.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- At least one (1) year of recent CDL A tractor trailer on the job, verifiable experience.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight.
- Strong knowledge of route driving within designated areas.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
