The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and hotel property. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment through regular patrols, incident response, and adherence to hotel safety procedures. The ideal candidate is observant, professional, and able to remain calm under pressure.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

JOB DUTIES

Patrol all areas of the hotel, including guest floors, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and parking lots.

Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and access control points.

Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergency situations and document all actions taken.

Assist guests and employees with safety-related concerns or escorts upon request.

Enforce hotel policies while maintaining professionalism and hospitality.

Complete detailed incident and shift reports.

Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary.

Conduct routine safety inspections (fire extinguishers, doors, lighting, etc.).

Support loss prevention efforts and investigate theft or suspicious activity.

Participate in safety drills and ongoing training sessions.

Provide emergency first aid or CPR if certified and needed.
