American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois.

Acute care hospital setting — Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 staffed beds
-
Work in a cardiac cath lab performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures

Patient population includes middle and older adults
-
Procedures include cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, rotablader atherectomy, and scrub procedures

Charting in Cerner (experience required)

3x12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Candidate will work 2–3 weekends per contract

On-call required as needed

Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required of all travelers

Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required

Experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings required
-
Active ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS certifications required — AHA and Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards are not accepted

Proficiency with equipment setup, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, isolation precautions, and sterile technique

Cerner EMR experience required

Active professional license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Must be in Illinois 3 business days prior to compliance hard deadline to complete fingerprinting requirements

Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction

Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

RTO requests of 5 days or fewer are generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval

Travel pairs are not accepted
