Cross Country Education is looking for compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Instructional Aides to partner with Special Education educators and specialists in delivering vital early intervention and classroom support. Step into a role that matters for the 2026–2027 school year!
Position Overview:
- Individualized Student Support: Work alongside teachers, specialists, and therapists to support Early Intervention students (ages 0–5) through IFSPs or support special education students in achieving their IEP goals.
- Instructional Assistance: Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction, reinforce lesson plans, and provide targeted one-on-one or small-group academic support.
- Daily Living & Personal Care: Provide direct, compassionate care to meet students' adaptive and personal needs, including assistance with mobility, feeding, toileting, and the use of specialized developmental equipment.
- Classroom & Environment Management: Help prepare and maintain a structured learning environment, organize instructional materials, assist with general classroom duties, and supervise students during non-instructional times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement reinforcement strategies, positive behavior management, and specific interventions to support student success.
- Prepare and adapt instructional or developmental materials under educator guidance to meet individual learning needs.
- Assist in tracking student progress through observation and documentation to support IFSP and IEP goals.
- Maintain flexibility to deliver essential support across various student settings or school sites to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Personal Care Assistant: Associate's degree, CDA, or Paraeducator Credential
- Instructional Aide: High school diploma or equivalent
Required: Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass all required Pennsylvania background checks and compliance requirements
Technical Skills & Experience: Current In-person CPR Certification. Prior experience working with children ages 0–5 or preschool-aged children (preferably in a special education setting) is highly preferred. ServSafe Certification is a plus.
