Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and motivated Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to join our growing team.
Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide engaging, individualized occupational therapy interventions to children with developmental, sensory, motor, and self-care needs.
You'll work closely with children and their families while collaborating with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other professionals to help each child develop greater independence and confidence in everyday activities.
This position offers scheduling flexibility, mentorship, and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
● Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
● Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities targeting:
● Fine motor development
● Visual-motor integration
● Sensory processing and regulation
● Self-regulation and emotional regulation
● Activities of daily living and functional independence
● Handwriting and pre-writing skills
● Bilateral coordination
● Motor planning and coordination
● Play and age-appropriate participation
● Create fun, creative, and play-based therapy sessions that motivate children and promote meaningful progress.
● Observe and communicate patient responses, progress, and changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
● Assist with implementing home programs and therapeutic strategies as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
● Educate and encourage families and caregivers regarding therapeutic activities and strategies that support carryover at home, within the OTA's scope of practice.
● Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, physicians, educators, and caregivers to support coordinated, holistic care.
● Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation.
● Follow established treatment plans and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding patient progress and the need for modifications.
● Participate in team meetings, in-house training, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
● Contribute to a positive, collaborative clinic culture focused on exceptional patient and family care.
● Provide safe, compassionate, and respectful care to every child and family.
Qualifications
● Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
● Current state OTA/COTA licensure or eligibility for licensure.
● Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
● New graduates are encouraged to apply.
● Knowledge of pediatric development, sensory processing, and therapeutic intervention techniques is a plus.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Passion for working with children and supporting families.
● Creative, patient, compassionate, and eager to learn.
● Ability to work effectively under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary $60,000-70,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
