Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Daycare Closing Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during the closing hours of our daycare facility. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a positive experience for children and their families while maintaining high standards of childcare and classroom management. Responsibilities
- Supervise children during the final hours of the daycare day, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional growth
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment suitable for toddlers and preschoolers
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s daily experiences and any concerns that arise
- Enforce classroom rules and behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions among children
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other caregiving duties as needed during closing hours
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior management effectively
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for nurturing children’s growth and creating a positive learning atmosphere
