Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies to attract qualified truck drivers through various channels including social media, job boards, and cold calling.
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from screening resumes and conducting interviews to negotiating offers and onboarding new hires.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates, industry contacts, and internal teams to generate a steady pipeline of talent.
- Conduct employment law research to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to driver hiring practices.
- Collaborate with HR teams on employee orientation, contracts, employee evaluation, and employee relations initiatives.
- Lead recruitment campaigns via social media management tools and HRIS platforms like SAP PeopleSoft or UltiPro to maximize outreach efforts.
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close candidates effectively while maintaining positive relationships.
- Proven experience in technical recruiting, especially within the transportation or logistics industries.
- Expertise in talent management, succession planning, and internal recruiting strategies.
- Excellent interviewing skills combined with outstanding communication skills for engaging diverse candidate pools.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law relevant to driver recruitment and employment practices.
- Ability to conduct research using tools like Salesforce or Kronos for workforce planning and lead generation.
- Experience in social media management for recruiting campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to cold call potential candidates and build long-term talent pipelines.
- Understanding of training & development processes related to onboarding new drivers effectively.
