Join Our Mission: Assistant Food Service Manager at Charlotte Rescue Mission
Charlotte Rescue Mission, a Christ-centered residential drug and alcohol recovery program, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Food Service Manager to join our team.
The Assistant Food Service Manager is responsible for assisting the Food Service Manager in all operations related to food and food safety for the Charlotte Rescue Mission, including preparation, serving meals, vending, donations, purchasing, inventory, receiving, storage, equipment, USDA commodities and supervision of residents and volunteers in the food service area. Weekend and holiday work is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow food safety guidelines.
- Assist in ordering and purchasing weekly food for Rebound and volunteer reimbursement.
- Assist in menu preparation and planning.
- Assist in training Ministry Assignment team members in their specified job descriptions.
- Supervising, training, and assisting volunteers.
- Assist in maintaining sanitation and cleaning guidelines.
- Maintaining food service equipment
- Develop and maintain a “TEAM “work environment within and between kitchens crews
- Assist with food donation deliveries and pickups.
- Assist with Holiday meal preparations (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter)
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Preferred: SERV safe certification

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
