American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Care Med/Surg Adult night shift position in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 3 years of Med/Surg experience and AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications.

13-week travel contract in a hospital acute care setting
-
Med/Surg Adult and Observation unit serving patients with orthopedic surgical needs, Hybrid Cath Lab procedures, and acute/chronic illnesses

Telemetry Med/Surg capabilities required

12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation

Must participate in the on-call rotation, taking 1 call shift per 2-week period as requested based on staffing needs

Active CO or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications, both issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Minimum 3 years of RN experience in Med/Surg, Acute Care, Telemetry, or a similar setting
-
Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted (required Oct 1 – Apr 1, must be current season)

Date of birth (DOB) or Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration

Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process

ACLS required to provide Intermediate Care in the CCU as needed
-
Candidate's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

CAPS (Colorado background check) registration is required and may take up to two weeks to obtain — candidates should begin the process as soon as possible via the Colorado Bureau of Investigation website

Facility-owned furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments are available for rent within walking distance of the hospital, subject to availability
