As a Vascular Technologist , you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care by performing advanced vascular ultrasound examinations. In this role, you will work closely with physicians to help diagnose and evaluate a wide range of vascular conditions through non-invasive ultrasound imaging. Your expertise will directly contribute to timely , accurate diagnoses and treatment plans, ensuring patients receive the exceptional care they deserve.
Vascular Technologists practice with a high level of autonomy, performing comprehensive ultrasound examinations, recognizing urgent or abnormal findings, and providing preliminary technical assessments for physician review. Strong critical thinking and attention to detail are essential, as your work has a direct impact on patient outcomes.
Success in this role also requires excellent communication and collaboration. You will interact daily with patients, physicians, nurses, and caregivers, creating a positive patient experience while supporting a culture of teamwork, safety, and clinical excellence.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM .
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform ultrasound studies specific to veins and arteries, including carotid, aorta, mesenteric, renal and celiac cardiac mapping and pulse volume recordings.
Review patient history, obtain brief current patient history and determine the appropriate procedure(s) necessary for proper diagnosis, consulting with physician if there are any questions concerning the ultrasound exam.
