Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front desk Receptionist and Treatment Coordinator to join our Dental Office team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies, ensuring seamless coordination of treatment plans and administrative processes. Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for patients regarding treatment scheduling, follow-up appointments, and insurance authorizations
- Collaborate with providers to develop and communicate comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient records, consent forms including detailed notes on procedures, diagnoses, and treatment outcomes
- Manage billing processes by applying appropriate DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards
- Verify insurance coverage and process pre-authorizations using EMR (Open Dental)
- Follow up on unpaid claims through collection efforts while maintaining compliance with billing regulations
- Maintain thorough knowledge of dental terminology and coding updates to ensure precise recordkeeping and billing accuracy
Experience
- Prior experience in a dental office setting with familiarity in billing, coding, or administrative coordination is highly preferred.
- Must be bilingual (Spanish and English fluency)
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and treatment codes
- Experience working with EMR/EHR (Open dental) systems for documentation and billing purposes
- Knowledge of medical records management and compliance standards within healthcare environments
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, providers, and insurance representatives
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
