The OTR Class A Driver will be responsible for safely transporting general freight over long distances using dry van and refrigerated trucks. This solo driving role requires a commitment to on-time deliveries while adhering strictly to DOT regulations and safety standards. The ideal candidate will be willing to be on the road for 2 to 3 weeks and maintain current documentation including MVR and medical card.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections prior to trips
- Complete accurate log documentation to ensure compliance
- Maintain DOT compliance throughout all operations
- Handle drop and hook loads efficiently
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Class A CDL driver
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and medical card
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial driving and vehicle inspections
- Knowledge of safety compliance and DOT regulations
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to solve problems independently while on the road
