The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of free-market economic theory, economic history, and the classical liberal intellectual tradition. Candidates should be familiar with the Austrian School of economics and the works of influential economists and scholars such as Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich Hayek, Walter Williams, and Thomas Sowell.The successful applicant will inspire students to think critically about economic systems, individual liberty, entrepreneurship, incentives, monetary policy, constitutional government, and the role of institutions in a free society.
