Roth Family Medicine & Mental Health is seeking a compassionate, motivated RN or LPN to join our outpatient clinic specializing in innovative mental health treatments, including Ketamine Therapy and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys building relationships with patients, learning new skills, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and other mental health conditions.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor ketamine treatments under provider supervision
- Prepare patients before, during, and after treatment
- Monitor vital signs and patient safety
- Educate patients about treatments and answer questions
- Operate and administer TMS therapy (training provided)
- Document treatments accurately in the electronic medical record
- Assist providers with patient care and procedures
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, pharmacies, and referring providers
- Maintain treatment rooms, supplies, and infection control standards
- Help create a welcoming, calm, and therapeutic environment
- Assist with occasional outreach and patient follow-up
QualificationsRequired
- Current Idaho RN or LPN license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using electronic medical records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred
- Experience in family medicine, psychiatry, emergency medicine, infusion therapy, or outpatient nursing
- Experience with IV placement
- Interest in mental health and innovative treatments
- Customer service experience

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and immunizations, following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding management, and ostomy care with precision and confidence.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient encounters thoroughly, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of results to support clinical decision-making.
- Provide triage services by assessing urgent patient needs over the phone or in person, prioritizing care based on acuity levels.
- Educate patients on their conditions, medication regimens, lifestyle modifications, and post-procedure care to promote health literacy and self-management.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient documentation and patient management.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Experience with outpatient procedures including botulinum toxin treatments, esthetic laser treatments, or other specialized therapies is highly desirable.
- Skilled in performing venipuncture, IV insertion, suturing, catheter care, and specimen collection with aseptic technique.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across various healthcare environments such as urgent care, medical-surgical units, or specialty clinics.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and HIPAA compliance to ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
Pay: $36.80 - $40.32 per hour
