Crew Chief – Water Mitigation Department

Position Overview
EcoClean Restoration is hiring a Crew Chief for our Water Mitigation Department. This is a leadership role on the jobsite — you'll run water mitigation jobs from start to finish, manage a crew, and be the face of the company for customers experiencing a water loss. We're a full-service restoration company handling water, fire, and mold, and we're looking for someone who takes ownership of every job like it's their own business.
This role rewards production: strong Crew Chiefs who run jobs efficiently and deliver great customer experiences can significantly out-earn the base salary through commission.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Verify work authorizations are signed, and get them signed if they aren't
- Document accurate moisture readings, photos, and Matterport scans
- Follow IICRC and management guidelines at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
- Ensure customer satisfaction with a signed Certificate of Satisfaction (COS) on every job
- Maintain a clean vehicle, warehouse, and equipment, and handle everything with care
- Perform demolition using hand tools, safely and correctly removing affected material
- Protect customers' belongings and company equipment (including winterizing truck mounts)
- Communicate clearly with customers, team, and management
- Maintain a safety-conscious approach with a goal of zero losses
- Keep work vehicles stocked and ready for the next job
- Be available for after-hours and weekend work as needed
- Work additional hours during high-volume events (Catastrophes)
- Assist other departments as needed
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience as a Crew Chief, lead technician, or similar leadership role in water mitigation/restoration
- IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, or similar) required or strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
- Strong leadership and communication skills — able to manage a crew and represent the company to customers
- Proven ability to run a job independently from first response through completion
- Reliable, punctual, and able to respond quickly during on-call hours
