Summary:
Provides medical care in support of professional medical staff. Provides a variety of medical services to patients in accordance with established laws and procedures. Works cooperatively with other health professionals under the direct supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
-
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Completion of an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners.
- Masters degree preferred.
- Meets credentialing requirements as appropriate through the Medical Staff office
EXPERIENCE
-
Three (3) years experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience working with the frail or elderly population.
- Certification in CPR and annual re-certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.

Valid NYS Driver's License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Ability to function independently within parameters of nurse practitioner scope of practice, in collaboration with physician and current practice guidelines in provision of preventive, chronic disease management and episodic health care for at-risk adult population.
