Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential Painter with at least two years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming residential spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the beauty and value of our clients' homes. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Execute residential painting projects using hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other necessary tools with precision and efficiency
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately plan and execute painting tasks in accordance with project specifications
- Apply a variety of paint types including industrial and specialty coatings, ensuring proper application techniques for durability and aesthetic appeal
- Perform trim carpentry, fixture installation, stucco work, masonry repairs, and restoration tasks as needed during renovation projects
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials required, and timeframes for job completion
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites and properly handling hazardous materials when necessary
- Collaborate with team members such as carpenters, masons, and handyman professionals to coordinate project activities effectively
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle to ensure finishes meet company standards and client expectations
Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in residential painting or related construction painting roles
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and airless paint sprayers in a safe manner
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques specific to residential environments
- Familiarity with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, restoration work, and masonry repairs
- Background working on construction sites with exposure to renovation projects involving framing, drywall installation, concrete finishing, welding, or industrial painting is a plus
- Ability to demonstrate handyman skills such as fixture installation or maintenance tasks on-site
