CohesionForce is actively seeking candidates for an AI Platform Integration Engineer to become part of our team in Huntsville, AL. This individual will integrate AI-enabled applications, agent services, user interfaces, data services, and external tools into reliable customer workflows. The engineer will combine strong software development practices with practical attention to identity, authorization, observability, evaluation, and safe operation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support services that connect AI applications to enterprise data, APIs, tools, and user interfaces.
- Define stable, versioned API and tool contracts with clear inputs, outputs, permissions, failure behavior, and operational limits.
- Implement secure authentication context, delegated access, tool allowlists, and human approval steps for sensitive operations.
- Build production services using Python, TypeScript, or comparable languages and modern web and service frameworks.
- Deploy and troubleshoot containerized applications in Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Develop automated unit, integration, end-to-end, and evaluation tests for AI-enabled workflows.
- Instrument applications with structured logs, metrics, traces, and activity records while protecting credentials and sensitive content.
- Diagnose failures across user interfaces, application services, AI services, data systems, gateways, and external APIs.
- Work with identity, data, reliability, platform, and customer teams to deliver integrated capabilities.
- Produce software designs, interface documentation, operating procedures, and customer-facing technical material.
Required Skills
- Experience developing and operating production web services or distributed applications using Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, or a comparable language.
- Experience designing REST, event-driven, or tool-oriented APIs and integrating external services.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Linux, Git, testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT validation, service identity, API authorization, or comparable application-security controls.
- Experience diagnosing distributed application failures using logs, metrics, and traces.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and work directly with stakeholders and customer teams.
- Works well in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
- Active DoD security clearance.
Desired Skills (not required)
- Experience building or integrating AI agents, assistants, retrieval systems, tool-calling applications, or model-serving APIs.
- Experience with model context protocols or comparable tool-integration standards.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability for AI-enabled applications.
- Experience with evaluation frameworks, provenance, human review, or evidence-grounded application behavior.
- Experience with React or another modern user-interface framework.
- Experience with GitOps, Helm, Kustomize, service meshes, or API gateways.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience and combined education, with 5 years of relevant professional experience; or 3 years with a related Master's degree.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
