Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pizza Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations, with a focus on delivering high-quality pizzas and exceptional customer service. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for crafting delicious pizzas, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens and pizza prep stations, efficiently and safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, including regular cleaning of work surfaces and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking food supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the Aloha POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in pizza preparation or cooking.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
