Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate animal lover to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being. This position is ideal for individuals who love animals and are committed to delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners.
Duties
- Walk dogs in their own neighborhoods or nearby trails, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
- Monitor the behavior and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns.
- Maintain a safe environment for the dogs by using proper handling techniques and equipment provided to you.
- Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and any observations made during walks.
- Assist with additional pet care tasks as needed, such as feeding or administering medication.
- Provide detailed summaries of each visit with good quality pictures included via our user friendly app.
- Stay overnight in the clients home from either 6pm-8am (14 Hrs) or 8pm-8am (12 Hrs). Overnight pet sittings are optional and are a great way to earn extra $$$!
Qualifications
- Experience in animal care or dog handling is necessary for the position we are looking to fill.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and dog training principles is a plus.
- Ability to manage dogs of varying sizes and temperaments safely.
- A genuine love and passion for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential!
- Must be physically fit to handle the demands of walking multiple dogs throughout the day. This includes being outside in all forms of weather as well.
- Must be available for overnight pet sittings.
