We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a patient-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:Patient Interaction & Customer Service:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally as they arrive.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and confirm upcoming visits.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes.
- Provide information about dental services, procedures, and policies.
- Address patient concerns and ensure a positive experience.
Administrative & Office Duties:
- Maintain and update patient records accurately in the dental management system.
- Verify and process insurance information and claims.
- Collect payments, process billing, and handle financial transactions.
- Manage appointment scheduling to optimize the dentist’s availability.
- Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to ensure smooth workflow.
Insurance & Billing:
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Submit insurance claims and follow up on approvals or denials.
- Process patient payments, co-pays, and overdue balances.
Office Maintenance & Compliance:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Order office supplies and manage inventory as needed.
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Experience in a dental or medical office.
- Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance billing is an advantage.
