Kitchen Staff – Kajiken

Position Summary
We are looking for reliable and hardworking Kitchen Staff members to join our team. In this role, you will assist with food preparation, cooking, plating, and kitchen cleanliness while ensuring all food safety and quality standards are met.

Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare ingredients according to Kajiken recipes and standards.
- Cook and assemble menu items accurately and efficiently.
- Portion ingredients and maintain consistency in food presentation.
- Assist with daily prep work, including vegetables, proteins, sauces, and toppings.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards.
Teamwork & Efficiency
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen team members.
- Support coworkers during busy service periods.
- Follow instructions from kitchen supervisors and management.
- Help with opening and closing kitchen procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and food quality.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Willingness to learn kitchen procedures and recipes.
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in ramen, Japanese cuisine, or quick-service restaurant environments.
- Knife handling and food preparation skills.
- Understanding of food safety standards.
- Ability to multitask under pressure.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a warm kitchen environment.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
