Mr. SignMan Company is a Hendersonville, TN small business specializing in signage and printing, alongside custom sports uniform decoration for local teams, schools, and community organizations. We've built our reputation serving local businesses, Little Leagues, school programs, and rec associations for over a decade, and we're a small, close-knit team that takes pride in getting it right for everyone who depends on us.
We're adding a permanent team member focused on getting customers billed and paid, and keeping our books clean and accurate.
What You'll Do
- Process customer payments and prepare invoices on the spot when orders are picked up
- Generate and send invoices; track payment status on every order
- Follow up on unpaid invoices by phone, text, and email until they're resolved
- Maintain accounts receivable records and aging reports
- Code and track day-to-day expenses; flag anything unusual or untracked
- Reconcile cost of goods sold entries in QuickBooks as completed orders come in
- Prepare and file Tennessee sales tax returns every month
- Keep financial records clean, accurate, and well organized
Basic Requirements
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounts receivable experience
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks, including A/R and A/P
- Comfortable learning and working in CRM systems and other small-business software
- Strong general computer proficiency — email, spreadsheets, online banking/payment tools
- Strong phone, text, and email communication skills for collections follow-up
- Comfortable processing payments and preparing invoices accurately while a customer waits
- Discretion handling sensitive financial information
- Reliable, on-site attendance — this is an in-person role, not remote
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with point-of-sale/card payment systems
- Experience in a small-business or family-owned company environment
Schedule & Pay
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Pay: ($18–$21/hour), based on experience
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
