Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair and replace automotive components such as transmissions, powertrains, and electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
- Conduct alignments and other mechanical adjustments as needed.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle needs and repair options.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the service department.
Skills
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role, preferably with dealership experience.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus.
- Proficiency in working with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Experience with diesel engine repair is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
- Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance practices and standards.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail.
