We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team. As a Commercial Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems of our commercial properties are safe, efficient, and up-to-code. The ideal candidate will have experience in both high and low voltage electrical systems, with a strong understanding of electrical schematics and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems are installed, maintained, and repaired according to safety standards and regulations.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings (480/277V and 120/208V) in accordance with National Electric Code
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and make repairs as necessary.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
- Install and maintain lighting systems, including emergency lighting and lighting control systems.
- Coordinate with contractors and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation using voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards by analyzing schematics and identifying potential faults.
- Coordinate materials needed and stock vehicle
- Perform Contract and Time & Material Work Order Requests
- Communicate Job Progress
- Documentation of Time, Material, Scope, and Follow-up
- Utilize power tools and hand tools to complete electrical installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working in high voltage environments.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their electrical needs.
Requirements
- TDLR Apprentice or Journeyman’s License (Required)
- Valid electrician's license (Preferred)
- Proven experience as an Electrician in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with using power tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
- Valid electrician's license
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed on construction sites.
