Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal climate control systems are installed efficiently and reliably. As an HVAC Installer Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems with precision and enthusiasm. Duties
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, ventilation equipment, and refrigeration systems according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Conduct system testing using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments to identify issues
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ammonia refrigeration setups when necessary
- Utilize welding skills for ductwork fabrication or repair projects in complex installations
- Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, inspections, and service reports for each project
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction-related fields with a focus on HVAC installation or service technician roles
- Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with refrigeration, plumbing, electrical wiring, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Experience with equipment repair and maintenance in property maintenance or appliance repair settings
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and system troubleshooting techniques
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred
- Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters for electrical testing
- Ability to work in the field performing service calls that may involve welding or boiler maintenance tasks
- Mechanical or technical certification(s), including HVAC/R certification or equivalent training preferred
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
