- Common Patient Diagnosis - Post Surgical care: Abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fracture, Back pain, morbid obesity (bariatric surgery).

Pay Breakdown (For Traveler Candidates):
- Weekly Gross: $2,640/wk
- Weekly Stipend: $1,200 (Non-taxable)
- Hourly Taxable Pay: $40/Hr. on W2
Pay Breakdown (For Local Candidates):
- Weekly Gross: $2,160/wk
- Hourly Rate: $60/hr on W2
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience within specialty- Required.
- BLS from AHA- Required
- Current and Unrestricted New York State RN License - Required
Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, injections, suturing, and wound care, following aseptic techniques and hospital protocols.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner and EMR platforms to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patients’ physiological status using telemetry and other advanced equipment; respond promptly to critical changes or emergencies with critical care response procedures.
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory tests, imaging (including CT scans), and specimen collection/processing to support accurate diagnoses.
- Assist with specialized procedures like cardiac catheterization, ostomy care, dialysis management, or trauma medicine as needed within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, and post-acute care strategies.
