Job Overview
Our Host/Bussers play an important role in creating a great experience for our guests and keeping the dining room running smoothly.
This is a hands-on position that combines hosting, bussing, guest service, reservations, takeout orders, and supporting our servers throughout service. You'll greet and seat guests, answer phones, manage reservations, clear and reset tables, and jump in wherever needed to help the front-of-house team.
We're looking for someone who is dependable, friendly, organized, and comfortable staying busy in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Warmly and professionally greet guests as they arrive
- Seat reservations and walk-in guests while maintaining an even rotation among server sections
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with questions and reservation requests
- Enter and manage reservations based on availability
- Help manage the flow of the dining room throughout service
- Provide guests with menus, specials, and water when seating
- Clear and maintain tables throughout the guest dining experience
- Clean, reset, and prepare tables promptly between seatings
- Assist with taking, packaging, and processing payment for takeout orders as needed
- Assist servers and other front-of-house team members throughout service
- Open and set up the dining room according to restaurant standards
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and dining area
- Complete closing and side work responsibilities as assigned
- Jump in and assist the team wherever needed to keep service running smoothly
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused
- Dependable and able to consistently report for scheduled shifts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to stay organized and multitask during busy service periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment
- Previous restaurant, hosting, bussing, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Able to stand and move throughout the restaurant for the duration of the shift
- Able to safely perform the physical duties associated with clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
