This position is responsible for accepting and processing residents staying in the shelter overnight, monitoring the activity of residents, and maintaining accurate and complete records.
Key responsibilities:

Checks clients into the shelter; prepares and monitors client intake cards; determines if client has been prepaid by sponsor or credit; prepares resident roster and maintains resident property records.
- Ensures that all rooms are in proper order before and after arrival of residents; checks fire equipment and ensures proper working order.
- Completes required paperwork representing client intake for the day; inputs data into the computer in order to maintain computer records and generate client lists; prepares, tallies, and balances monies with receipts; drops the money in the safe.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients in order to control, lead, and motivate behavior.

- High school diploma or G.E.D. AND

one year experience performing security work or working in a social service environment, OR
